② Mode Overview

When powered on, the mode number is shown on the display. Use + / - to select a mode, then press Start to confirm.

No. Mode Description
1 Basic Timer Simple count-up timer. No time limit setting.
2 Countdown
(Sudden Death)
Game ends when time runs out.
3 Bonus
(Fischer)
A set amount of time is added after each move. Bonus max 60 sec
4 Delay A grace period is given at the start of each turn — the main clock does not count down until the grace period expires. Grace period max 60 sec
5 Byoyomi After main time runs out, a countdown repeats each move. Max 9 periods / max 60 sec

③ Setting the Time

After selecting a mode, long-press the Setting Setting Button to enter the time setting screen.

④ Adjusting Time During a Game

You can change the remaining time or settings during a game.

⑤ Restarting a Game

Long-press (2–3 sec) Start Start Button to restart the game from the beginning with the same time settings and mode.


⑥ Buzzer Alerts

In addition to the display, the clock alerts you with buzzer sounds as time runs low.

10 seconds remaining "Beep" (single short tone)
5 seconds remaining "Beep" (single short tone)
2 seconds remaining "Beep" (single short tone)
Time's up "Beep-beep-beep-beep..." (repeated alarm)
Sound can be toggled on/off with a short press of the Setting/Sound Button.

⑦ Step-by-Step Mode Instructions

Mode 1 Basic Timer
  • Power on.
  • Use + / - to change the flashing mode numberMode display.
  • When the mode numberMode display shows 1, press Start Start Button to select.
  • Press Start Start Button again to begin counting.
Mode 2 Countdown (Sudden Death)
  • Power on.
  • Use + / - to change the flashing mode numberMode display.
  • When the mode numberMode display shows 2, press Start Start Button to select.
  • Without changing settings: Press Start Start Button again to begin counting.
    To change settings: Long-press Setting Setting Button, then set hours, minutes and seconds in order. +/− to adjust numbers, Setting Button to move to next item. Press Start Start Button when done.
Mode 3 Bonus (Fischer)
  • Power on.
  • Use + / - to change the flashing mode numberMode display.
  • When the mode numberMode display shows 3, press Start Start Button to select.
  • Without changing settings: Press Start Start Button again to begin counting.
    To change settings: Long-press Setting Setting Button, then set hours, minutes, seconds and bonus timeBonus time (max 60 sec) in order. +/− to adjust numbers, Setting Setting Button to move to next item. Press Start Start Button when done.
The bonus time is automatically added to your clock each time you make a move.
Mode 4 Delay
  • Power on.
  • Use + / - to change the flashing mode numberMode display.
  • When the mode numberMode display shows 4, press Start Start Button to select.
  • Without changing settings: Press Start Start Button again to begin counting.
    To change settings: Long-press Setting Setting Button, then set hours, minutes, seconds and grace periodGrace period (max 60 sec) in order. +/− to adjust numbers, Setting Setting Button to move to next item. Press Start Start Button when done.
The main clock does not count down until the grace period has elapsed. After that, it counts down normally.
Mode 5 Byoyomi
  • Power on.
  • Use + / - to change the flashing mode numberMode display.
  • When the mode numberMode display shows 5, press Start Start Button to select.
  • Without changing settings: Press Start Start Button again to begin counting.
    To change settings: Long-press Setting Setting Button, then set hours, minutes, seconds, byoyomi periodsByoyomi periods (max 9) and byoyomi secondsByoyomi seconds (max 60 sec) in order. +/− to adjust numbers, Setting Setting Button to move to next item. Press Start Start Button when done.
After main time runs out, the byoyomi countdown repeats each move. If you fail to move within the final period, the game ends.
